Member Rules and Guidelines
As a registered member of Greater Manchester Long Covid Support (“GM Long Covid”), you agree to the Rules and Guidelines listed below, along with any Rules, Guidelines or Policies that GM Long Covid wishes to implement.
: Rules are mandatory and must be adhered to. In the event they are not, membership will be terminated.
: Guidelines are also mandatory and should always be adhered to, but are not enforced as strictly as rules, except in the circumstances deemed necessary by the Trustees, for example, repeated or persistent breach or where Members have received a prior warning for the same or similar issues.
Members agree and understand that all content provided by GM Long Covid or its Members on any channel is provided as informational resources. It does not constitute advice, guidance or otherwise. This includes but is not limited to medical, legal, or financial advice. Any sharing of recommendations or experiences is not considered advice.
All new Members will receive an introductory telephone call or contact from GM Long Covid as part of the induction before they may become a Member.
Members are responsible for ensuring that they follow all GM Long Covid Rules, Guidelines and Policies regularly updated on our website. By becoming a Member of GM Long Covid, Members agree to adhere to any updated Rules, Guidelines and Policies which may be published in the future.
Abuse or harassment towards any Member or representative of GM Long Covid will NOT be tolerated.
Any form of discrimination, direct or indirect, such as age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation or otherwise, will NOT be tolerated.
You must not contact other Members directly without their prior permission.
We request that all Members refrain from communicating with GM Long Covid or other Members between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.
Swearing or other offensive language is not appropriate.
Members should refrain from giving information that may be considered medical or professional advice to other Members.
Members should treat other Members and Charity Representatives with respect.
GM Long Covid may review a membership at any time, and the Trustees’ discretion may be used when required.
